About
Our National Hub in South Africa is based in the Division of Infectious Diseases & HIV Medicine at the University of Cape Town. Led by Professor Marc Mendelson and Professor Esmita Charani, the team in South Africa do world-leading work in AMR and advocacy, and have strong links to national and global policy.
The team perform ground-breaking work on implementation of antimicrobial stewardship programmes in LMICs, and have expertise in organisational and individual behaviour change, the role and visual mapping of team dynamics, and innovation adoption.
